Leda has been an artist since childhood. Born and raised in Murphys, a Sierra Foothill community in Calaveras County, located in Northern California.

Leda's richly artistic childhood was spent on the Quyle family compound, home to three generations of Quyles.  With 100 acres to explore her companions included llamas, horses, sheep, rabbits, geese, lots of dogs and cats, and tadpoles in the pond.
